Helping One Another

Helping one another should always be a priority for everyone.

Often, we become more focused on self-care and neglect to think about others. While it's important to take care of ourselves and those closest to us, we also need to make time for those outside our immediate circle. You might think, "I don't know anyone who needs help," but that may be because you haven't asked.

Always remain aware and share the love of Christ. Offer a loving heart to those in need, and at the very least, extend a promise to pray for them.

250

The 250th Birthday of the United States of America.

What a great day for our nation.

The celebrations are a direct reflection on how greatful we are to be living in a country where freedom is at the core of how we live every day. We are reminded of those who have gone before us and have fought for the freedoms and continue to guard our great nation.

Happy 4th of July !

Katydid

Finally, summer is here, and for those in the south, it is the time for outdoor activities.  I look forward to this time every year.  Fall and spring are nice, but summer is the best. Now there might be a time this summer when it reaches 100 degrees, and I'll be wanting the fall weather to come sooner.  One true sign that summer is here is at night, when the lightning bugs and katydids start to sing.

Take time this season to get outside and enjoy God's creation.

Time vs Goals

I clearly didn't start when I wanted in 2026, so here I am.

I really wanted to start the year off with regular posts at least once a month, and I was thinking today about the things I wanted to accomplish for the year when my blog came to mind.  Time always seems to get in the way. I tell myself I'll add whatever to my list of to-dos for the day, and somehow, updating the blog gets pushed to a later time. My blog is important, and I want to make it a priority.

Starting today, without an actual date, at a minimum of two blog posts a month. Creating a specific schedule will help me manage my time better and turn my intentions into actionable steps.  Posting this statement here will help me commit to the time I've set for myself.
