Signs of Life - 4

I actually captured this photo my accident.  My intent was to photo just the eggs.  The Birdhouse is higher on the stand so I could not look down into the nest.  My phone camera was placed inside without me know a bluebird was sitting on the nest.

Stay tuned for more Signs of Life ......

Renewal and Good News

I'm looking forward to the Spring and Summer months. It is a time for renewal, like most folks will do in January with resolutions. The outdoors is being renewed daily; something new is growing and thriving, and the critters are multiplying.

I try to renew myself every morning - the start of a new day because yesterday was history. I will admit it has been difficult with all the bad news, and I have expressed much of that here. And too much bad news makes it challenging to have a positive outlook daily.  Most of the information we get is fed to us - not much of choice. I realize some folks only get their news once daily, and the odds of getting some good news are slim. So, you must try searching for good news and renewing yourself in several ways.

First, try to find some good sources online for the good news content that works for you, social media pages, hashtags, blogs, or websites, and go there every day.

The second is to establish a prayer life.  Connect with your Creator, read the Bible, reciting your prayers at a minimum in the morning and evening. Re-connect/Renew your relationship with God daily.

Every Spring we look forward to the return of the Bluebirds.  This is still a work in progress, but I would believe soon we will be seeing eggs.  More to come......

Walking

I've been walking more than usual lately because I have been working at home. The walking that I did at the office was my daily exercise and at the end of the day my daily step count was my way of staying active. But the only steps I get at home are to the frig or bathroom. So, I have been taking an occasional break and go outside to walk.

Walking outdoors is refreshing it helps me to unfocus on the fast-pace world and focus on God's creation. The city life still has its sights and sounds of a rushed life. But with the casual stroll around the neighborhood you can still experience the creation of nature. The sight of the new growth of plants in spring, the sounds of birds, and squirrels running around. This virus has hindered our lives in many ways ways but it has also open our eyes to discover the creation that God has given us. A gift we should not take for granted.

August

It's the end of July and then we move into August.  July is a month with the celebration of our Independence and many of the other months during the year are typically know for at least one major holiday that represents that month. But I do not know of a major day that represents August. The only thing I can think of is its hot and humid (it's a southern thing).

If I'm missing something please tell me
