This is the last picture because they are soon to fledge. 

The picture was taken on June 19th.  I have been watching the nest and occasionally see one taking a look outside the box.

I'm unsure if there will be more nests after this, as the temperature here is getting into the 90s.

These eggs have been here for a few weeks.  They will be hatching soon, hopefully.

The progress continues, but no eggs yet.  The nest will fill within 5 days with 3 to 4 eggs.

The Bluebirds are officially making their nest for the first time this season.

The Last Summer Eggs

I took a bit of a risk taking this photo. I knew it was getting close to them fledging.

And I was correct, within a few days they were gone.

I'm really surprised these guys survived.  The temperatures have been in the 100's.  This is late in the year to see bluebirds of this size still in the nest.

I was surprised to discover this because it is so late in the summer.

The heat was too much for the bluebirds for several weeks, with temperatures in the upper 90s and a few days above 100 degrees. This is all that is left, and this one egg will probably be gone soon.

Signs of Life - final

This is the last photo. They have some of their feathers I would say within the next week they will fly into the world.

I actually captured this photo my accident.  My intent was to photo just the eggs.  The Birdhouse is higher on the stand so I could not look down into the nest.  My phone camera was placed inside without me know a bluebird was sitting on the nest.
