United

United We Stand

As the country re-starts the economy. Now everybody has an opinion about the pandemic whether it's who to blame or this or that could have been accomplished differently, it does not matter. We need to unite just as we did in the first few weeks when everybody was at home and the streets were empty. We seemed to be united during that time because we in someway suffered together.

The unemployment rate is the highest in years. We can all unite putting all political differences aside. Everyone needs to safely go out and buy goods and services in their local economy. This will jumpstart our cities bring the unemployment down and pumping dollars back for the rebuilding of America.

History will Tell

After the pandemic, what will history tells about the event?

How will it be told in the history books? or the internet whichever one you prefer.

I think because this was a worldwide event it will be told from many different perspectives.

Here are my thoughts:

The source of the virus I believe will be generally recognize as China as the central starting point. The control of containment, the blame will shift to the political leaders of each country and depending on how well they did will determine how long they will stay in office. The economic impact will be analyzed by the type of government, capitalism or socialism just to name a few. The cost will either be paid for by the people or not. And lastly, technology will have a big impact in how we leveraged the tech aspect of the pandemic.

All of this will be studied for years to come. And I can't even imagine how many books and movies will be created from this event.

The Need for Change

Reading the local liberal newspaper (not a habit) just wanting to see how the left is looking at the elections from yesterday.

I refuse to believe the true conservative movement is dead.

We need to have candidates with strong conservative values. The RINO's have conformed to the liberal agenda. The secularism is overrunning in America. Whatever the trend is today will change tomorrow. This is no way to govern the United States.

I realize there will always be political differences but the problem now is the two parties are at each others throats. What happen to the days of Ronald Reagan, Tip ONeill or Bill Clinton, Newt Geingrich.

This country needs to get back on track before it gets to the point of no return.

Leadership

Leadership as defined by Merrian-Webster dictoinary:

  Definition of LEADERSHIP

1: the office or position of a leader

2: capacity to lead

3: the act or an instance of leading

4: leaders - the party leadership

We see leadership in action everyday and the action is not necessarily in a management or lead position.
The role can be filled by anyone that has a positive influence on another person. A co-worker can encourage another employee in helping on a difficult project. Communities as a group demonstrate leadership in efforts to improve their neighborhoods. Leadership in religious activities can provide positive direction in faith.

Leadership as defined - the act or instance of leading - is not a position, it can be a moment in time.

Examples - Mother Teresa, Gandhi, Rosa Parks.  They demonstrated their leadership by their actions.

How Can You Change the World?

I believe anyone can change the world. Your approach to the process will depend on your abilities, passion and resources.

Does it take money? Yes and No
I have worked in a non-profit environment and I have seen the struggles of funding. The impact of dollars can buy food, clothing and housing. Also, if most people are asked “what would they do if they won the lottery?’ somewhere in the list of things they would buy would be a donation to a charity. You can also change the world without money; simply by being kind to everyone you meet everyday.

Would you have to invent something? Yes
The fact that I have posted this blog entry on the internet through a computer is proof that invention can change the world. The discoveries in medicine, space exploration are just a few things that have change the world.

Can you change the world one person at a time? Yes
Absolutely and it does not cost any money and you do not have to be a rocket scientist. The simple act of kindness to everyone you meet, everyday can change the world.
Why? because it is contagious.

Does it take a leader to form a group with a mission? Yes
A leader can transform any group whether it is business, religious, political or volunteer. If you take a moment and think about all the leaders in the world, past and present, you will see that leadership can change the world.

Can one event in someone’s life change the world? Yes
My first thought, Jesus Christ, his death and resurrection changed the world.

Can you be anonymous and change the world? Maybe
I think it is possible, but in today’s world, unless you have complete secrecy, someone will find out.

Are There Other Ways You Can Change The World?
