Older Thought Process

Why do we think differently as we grow older?

I believe that we all go through this over time, but the decisions that we made when we are younger ultimately effect the way we think years down the road. The process of our development is based on many factors that interject into our lives and those factors influence our thoughts and actions. Our thoughts and actions can change the way we think by our everyday influences. Examples like, your job and the daily interaction with co-workers or customers. The interaction with the people we meet everyday has an influence on us. We can accept or deny the influences based on what we believe. Anyone can change over time and as we grow older our thought process changes. The changes could be from bad to good or good to bad. Free will is the human element that guides our lives in the countless ways we live and think everyday. On any given day you never know what factors could influence your thought process and change the rest of your life.

Happy Holiday or Merry Christmas

This seems to be the topic every year. Why has it come to this? The season is Christmas and the 25th of December has always been the day we celebrate the birth of Christ. Society has recognized that other holiday’s also happen about the same time, which is fine except, this is Christmas, and not all holidays combined. If someone wants to say Merry Christmas, than say it. The term should not be offensive, because it is that time of the year. We express holidays and special events throughout the year and no one seems to take offense. What if I said Happy 4th of July to someone from England? Would it be offensive to them because the United States defeated them during the Revolutionary War? Or what if I said Happy St. Patrick’s Day to someone who is not Irish, would they be offended.

My point is this is the season for Christians to celebrate the birth of Christ. No one should take offense to the fact that Christian Americans do this every year. Just as Christians should not take offense to other faith holidays. If I lived in another country where Christianity was a minority, I would not protest because Christmas was not recognized by the majority of society. So the day when Christianity becomes a minority in the United States which I don’t think will happen any time soon. I will continue to say Merry Christmas.

A Day of Infamy - December 7, 1941

On this day in 1941, America was changed forever. The attack on Pearl Harbor by the Japanese caught the United States by surprise. The element of surprise is a war tactic that has been used for thousands of years and still used today.

We as a nation go about our daily routines never thinking that we might be attacked by another country, which is understandable because of our strong military defenses. But, no matter how strong our defenses, we will always be a target.

A thought for this day - we must always keep in mind what happen on December 7, 1941 and just as September 11, 2001 the unexpected happen and it could happen again.

Remember Our Veterans

And Thank Them for Defending Our Nation and Freedoms.
